As I walked into work this morning, I looked up at the sky and the rain covered my face. My shower-wet hair made it look like it was raining harder than it really was. I was in heaven. I wanted to just stand there and absorb it like a sponge. My mind narrated the scene perfectly and as I kept walking I thought, I’m going to write this down when I get inside. My shoes tapped up the stairs as my mind developed profound hypotheses. I’m going to write this down too. The stairwell door clicked open and clunked shut. I wandered down the empty hallway leading to the office and then clicked open another door. Finally reaching my chair, I pulled out some paper and a pen. Blank. Paper, pen. Blank. Mind, blank.
