I got my book started in Scrivener (a computer program for writing).  My goal is 90,000 words for the whole book by the end of the year.  The picture shows my progress.  I will update with a picture periodically.  It also sets a daily word count goal based on how much I’ve written so far and how much time is left.  Today’s goal is 425 words.

I’ve been struggling with part of it, trying to get it all to fit together.  Then last night it clicked and I knew!  I love when that happens!  From the title you can obviously tell there’s a lake in it.  My protagonist is Ellie, a 22 year old woman, tormented by the death of her best friend, Jack.  Those are the hints for today.  Tomorrow I’ll be out in my garden most of the day, but I will make time for writing!
