I haven’t done much writing lately.  In my defense, I have been doing a lot of reading and studying.  I just finished The Silent Patient and The Family Upstairs — both excellent books.  The Silent Patient masterfully weaves the unexpected into the ending and The Family Upstairs has lots of mysteries and moving parts throughout.  I just started reading The Hacienda.  I’m only a couple chapters in, but so far it’s good.  My goal is to read as much as possible in order to figure out how it’s done – how is a best seller made.  I need to add in more writing though to put it all into practice.  It’s always the time thing though, never enough hours in a day.
